Katherine grew up in Cypress, TX, a suburb of Houston. She moved to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University where she received two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Health and Society, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors in the Liberal Arts for her research comparing American and Dutch health systems.
She then attended UT Southwestern Medical Center receiving a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus on women's health and community access to healthcare. Katherine is the recipient of the Dr. L. Ruth Guy Leadership Award for her activities on several committees and for her work on legislation to improve healthcare for Texans.
She enjoys partnering with patients to help them meet their health goals through preventative care and illness education. In her free time, Katherine enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband Alex, going to exercise classes, and volunteering at her church.
