Minor Skin Surgery & Biopsies

A skin biopsy can also be performed to test a mole or piece of skin for potentially harmful diseases such as skin cancer. During a skin biopsy, a piece of skin is surgical removed with a scalpel or sharp medical instrument for testing. 

Skin Cancer Screenings

A skin cancer screening is a physical inspection of your skin by a medical professional. In a private appointment, A full body exam will be performed but this exam can also focus solely on a specific area of concern. During this time, there are no surgical procedures or blood tests. However, once a thorough examination is complete, your doctor may order further testing for diagnosis, such as a skin biopsy.
